Living the Dream

The Day Begins...(or should I say my Blog begins!)

My son Logan has encouraged me to set up this blog and bear with me as I become familiar with this new way of journaling. I have always encouraged my kids to write down their thoughts as a way to express their feelings and frustrations. I feel privileged when Logan shares his writing with me. So why not follow my own suggestion of expression and blog?! It seems that this month has quickly passed and I have found myself looking at my life and thinking… “am I following my dreams?! and even more so am I living my dreams?!”

So within the last week I have pushed myself out of my comfort zone to begin my bucket list. Not just writing it out but to actually have the courage to start living my life instead of existing. My friend/co-worker Amy and I were discussing international travel and how much we both want to visit many countries within our lifetimes. I am a true believer in the fact that there are no coincidences in life and everything is strategically presented by our Creator when we seek it. With that said, I was later reading my gmail and found out about a tour to Italy. So I investigate it and share it with Amy and we are both intrigued. Can I finance this? Can I truly do this? The more I think about it, the more I want to go. FEAR BE GONE! I talk to Amy the next day and she is in and not only is she in, but also her cousin and her cousin’s daughter and she wants her mom to go. Well…. then I know, to make this trip exceptional, I want my daughter Amy to go as well!

Well, to make a long story short…. we now have 6 individuals ready for an Italian adventure. But it doesn’t stop there. As I am showing my sons Logan and Steven the itinerary…. Logan says “Mom, why don’t you do the extension to the trip?” After “weighing” the fears and nonexistent reasons, they have convinced me to do the “entire” trip. So that is how I find myself with a trip to Italy to look forward to in June. Last week, this was just a thought in my “bucket”.

So stay tuned….. I will be sharing my process to financing the trip while checking off items on my bucket list. I figured I can do this by still “LIVING THE DREAM.” Until my next post… stay well and I leave you with this quote:
